Now onto my card for your inspiration. Card is a cupcake black which I have layered with Satin cersie mirri card that has been put through a ribber. Top is a pale pink which has been glittered and 3d gloss specks and white pearls as sprinkles. Red cherry top coloured with promarkers. Decorated with Gingham ruffle ribbon, few pins, flowers. Sequin row at the bottom. The image is a Teddybea doesnt she look happy with her stack of cupcakes ready to serve. This has beet mounted on pink card.

Good friday morning or is it afternoon. Well the rain has not stopped so glad I got some bedding done yesterday but just hope it stops for a little at 2pm as this is doggie walk time and dont fancy getting wet through again.

First Christmas Card for 2012

Good evening just a quick card for me as I am not feeling 100% too many trips to little girls room since dinner.
Well before all this happened I spotted A Gem of A Challenges fab sketch so had to play with my new stamps from my secret santa. So using the sketch I decided to paper piece her dress and hat. Such a cute stamp with her little friend. Papers are from stash, along with some pink ribbon and a few pearls. Flower is a nestablitie. Image coloured with Promarkers.

Good morning from a wet although a little warmer Manchester hope you are all keeping warm and dry. Well although I do like Pink and always looks clean for a girl I am also a big fan of Greens so when I saw the new images of Wryn I had to have a play.

CAS Birthday Card - Party Time or is it Sales

Gosh It is cold here but my card doesnt shop this she is dressed for better days I think. She looks really happy with her presents doesnt she hope they are coming my way. lol. I had to make a card for Creative Inspirations DT and couldnt make up my mind so ended up making two so this is the other one you will have to come back tomorrow to see which I have done for our Challenge and what could it be.
Well over at Mo's she has a CAS challenge and I just love her images done seem to get too many done I am one of those people you either get sick of using them or I dont do for ages. Although cant ever get sick of Mo's images just my cards. I just used kept it simple with little decoration just a little bow and a touch of glitter. Image is coloured with my promarkers and paper from stash.

I thought I would share with you tonight some quick cards I made. I am not one for the CAS but was really pleased with these. The images are all from Digi Stamp Boutique and I think they lend themselves perfectly for this style of card. Images are coloured with my promarkers and then just either matted onto some card or placed onto a Nestie for matting.

My Five Fave Christmas Cards of 2011

Hi have you seen the prize at A Scrapjourney for your 5 fave christmas cards of 2011. Well this got me thinking and having just looked at Janettes my friend I thought well which did I enjoy making. Well I have a few that I havent blogged so thought should I start there. Oh Janette yes it is a Mo's image. I actually made this for an order but couldnt give it away and kept for a special friend.
I am entering this into DPS challenge fave Mo card.

Then I made this card a easel for a friends Granddaughter she hadnt seen easel cards before and was totally blown away with it and said how much the image was like her down to the wording. The image is a K Kenny.

Onto my next well this image was sat in my box of images and was crying out for colouring. I made this for a little girl who was being fostered by a neighbours mother and she will be taking it onto her new family so it had to be special and be full of the joys of Christmas

This next card is also a K Kenny image but completely different and definitely one for the boys and talking of boys this was made for my son not too sure his girlfriend liked but he did. I was really pleased with the hand stitching on this and he even made some nice comments about it and think he appreciated the time it took.

Lastly this has to be another card made with a MO's image yes I am a fan and this is what Christmas is really all about and I guess should have been the 1st card as this is the start of Christmas the Nativity.

So this is my five and can tell you that i have changed my mind on the 5 at least 3 times so I am pressing the publish button before it is four times. Hope you like these and think there is a variety too. Thanks for looking and checkout the blog and prize would love to see your 5 faves.

Mo's Nativity

Oh I saw this wonderful image from Mo and just had to colour it up this is one of the cards that was commissioned by one of my neighbours for her friend. I have used my spellbinders dies for the flower and the mount. Papers are from last year and the ribbon is sheer with gold glitter on. Image is coloured with my promarkers. Think this just is the most perfect image for Christmas. The little sentiment stamp is a lili of the valley stamp.

Thought I would share with you another of the many cards I made this one really did make me smile as i coloured the image. papers are from stash and I used one of my nesties. Red ribbon and computer generated seniment.I decorated the inside to match the front.Added some 3d gloss to the lights but sadly doesnt show up on this very well. i think the stamp is a Whipper Snapper.

Crafty Catz Challenge Santa's Hat

Good evening hope you are all well and sorry for my lateness of this post Google has changed my posting and I was unable to post but Tilly has been investigating (see Tilly you can do it ) and found out that we needed to update blogger posting in the setting. Must say wouldn't have looked there 1st but have been mad busy so hadn't even put computer on for few days just used my little phone. So Thank you Tilly for sorting and sharing your knowledge.

Well this week the theme is to have a Santa's hat somewhere on your project and we where given some images to play with by our fab sponsor PAPER SHELTER. I picked this cute owl with his sack of goodies.

I have coloured my image with promarkers. Used my M.S. punch and added some ribbon, a charm and also made the flower with a spellbinder die. Touch of gold mirri card and card completed. Anyone else having problems with Google Chrome

Hi folks I am having problems with Google Chrome when I do a new post the tabs are missing with the links to blogs and different size fonts, colours etc so this makes me writing my post difficult for the team blogs. Commissioned Easel card

Good evening I know it is a little late but trying to catch up and I have a fair few cards I have made for a friend to show you but 1st I made this Easel card for her Granddaughter she hadnt seen a Easel card before and she liked the Wow factor. The image is a digital from Satuated Canary and isnt she just the sweetest. I have coloured her with my Promarkers and added some glitter to her wings. Used my Punch around the page and some DP from my stash. Few pearls and a touch of ribbon with a double bow thanks to Jaks tutorial. The small snowflake is a woos chip which I have glittered to within a inch of its life. The large is a tree decoration but holds the front up nicely. The sentiment is computer generated. This week we where given some images to play with from Bows & Berries and I picked this cute little fellow and also his bike well he is trying to save the plant and not leave fumes everywhere. lol

I went with a candle box and did intend on doing a cutout with an acetate front but couldn't find my acetate. I have decorated my candle too to match so hopefully it is a nice set. Sentiment stamp is from Lili of the valley and the date one is a WOJ. Snowflakes from my friends as I was admiring them and they took pity on me and sent some. Papermania paper. Candle from Aldi.

Now onto my card for your inspiration we where given some images to play with. I used 3 of the images and made a long card kept fairly simple. Coloured images with Promarkers and matted on Mirri card. Paper is from a Papermania Pad which is a few years old this pad seems to go on forever so expect to see some more. Ribbon from stash and some papermania gems for the corners. Glitter and a Funky Foam Happy Holidays from a friend.

Well thats my simple card and it was a nice change from doing a Square card. Oh while you are reading this can you help I was looking for some paper to wrap round my candles while I heat the image. Last year I am sure I used Greaseproof paper but it was white but this year all the greaseproof paper is a brownish colour and am wondering if this is correct. Any idea's I would love to hear them. Son's Birthday Card

I meant to post this yesterday but as this week is flying and I don't seem to have enough hours in the day it is a little late but at least he got it for his birthday.

The image is a Digi StampBoutique called chap snoozing. lol. This is so my son half the time. papers are from stash and used my nesties to mount the image on. Coloured with my promarkers and added some gems for a little sparkle. In the corners of the nestie I used liquid pearls. Added some papermania ribbon and a Happy Birthday sentiment. Kept it simple as cant see a 29 year old wanting lots of fuss.

Well hope you like he said he did but thought I was being a bit cheeky with the image. lol.

Well hello again gosh 2 posts from me today I am doing well. If you are looking for the Creative Inspirations Challenge then it is the post below. While looking for some challenges that my cards fitted I saw this wonderful sketch by Gayle over at the I Play the Sugar Bowl and although I haven't played for a while ( note to self this must change) just had to go and make a card. I coloured this image a little while ago so just needed to get it all together. Image was coloured with Promarkers. Papers are from my stash and think are Minds Eye. The web is an embossing plate from Fiskers which I then rubbed a white brilliance pad over. Few buttons a Pumpkin 3d sticker and some plaited twine. Sentiment is a stamp but i have gone over with a white gel pen. Few green brads to hold twine and that's the lot.

DP is from last year and I have added some acrylic paint onto it. Sentiment stamps are all small clear stamps I got from a bargain bucket sale few years ago. Nestie to mount my snowman on which I ran through my cuttlebug folder.

Creative Inspirations Challenge DT Single Layer Card

Good Wednesday Morning from another very wet Manchester gosh it is still fairly warm here so guess we cant complain too much. Well as I said last night I would be back and so I am with another card which is completely out of my comfort zone a single layer card. Hope you like and must say it turned out better than i thought it would.

The stamp I received at weekend from my 2 friends who kindly went shopping forme at the Leigh Craft Fayre which I didnt make again this year. What a lovely surprise and I also got another from them along with my completed shopping list and some yummy extra's they knew i would want. White base card with a square frame of glitter made with double sided tape. Image stamped direct to card and coloured with promarkers. Glitter for the snow ice. Sutle shading of chalk for the back ground think that suttle camera didnt pick it up. Flower is one of my new dies isnt it yummy. Ribbon is the lovely candy I won from Trish at Crafty Ribbons. Sentiment isa peel off which matched the colour perfectly. Below is a close up of this cute little stamp.

I'M Back and a card I wish I didnt have to Make

Good Evening friends thanks for popping back and thanks for all your good wishes for my operation. I am now at home and making a good recovery still not there yet but improving daily.
Today I have a card I would like to share with you. While I was in hospital a very good friend of mine had the worse news she had been dreading. Her husband the sweetest person you would want to call a friend was gravely ill and after a very short and brave period lost his battle. Why is the world such a cruel place, takes the lovely, kind ,gentle people and leaves some of the worse behind. Well he is at peace and no doubt looking after her from above.
I found this stamp in my box of clear stamps and had an idea of the heart and the shadow of the heart on a pool of water with a dove above taking it off to heaven. Not sure if this is what i made but that was my idea. Kept it plain with some silver and black satin ribbon and the water is watered down glitter pen hope it shows in the close up. A few black gems and the dove has a clear heart gem in its beak. The sentiment is an Anna Griffin stamp.

Well hope you like my card this is my 2nd sympathy card this year and hopefully my last for 2011.

When I saw the challenge I knew straight away what stamp I was going to use. I was given this Sugar Nellie Raven some time ago by the lovely and talented Elaine at Technophobes blog and have bee waiting to use it. I used my promarkers for this and a touch of distressed ink on the M.S. punch and floor. The papers are from my stash and the flowers are papermania. Button centre and a tiny punch i have had forever for the small leaves on the floor. The large leaf is a satin material one. Doesnt she look warm and toastie without a care in the world. Onto my card hope you like I really enjoyed making this with one of my stamps that I must say hasnt really got much use since my birthday from Lili of the valley. Papers are from Papermania capsule collection. Die cut flowers and the purple one has been coloured to match. All colouring done with my promarkers. Papermania ribbon from stash. Gems for the finishing touch and flowers centres. The sentiment is also Lili of the valley.

Good evening all and i hope you all had a wonderful day managed to get my bedding dried out on the line and the wind was really warm but forcast isnt good for tomorrow.
Well as I said in my previous post I would be back with Avril's card and here it is. I used the colours Purple as this is her fave colour. Just love this image she is called Annabel and is a MIC download. Sentiments are all Tickled Pink from there Steampunk section. Image coloured with Promarkers. Glitter Frame cut with my nesties. Paper is from the papermania capsule range. Ribbon from Hobbycraft. Mirri card from stash. Metal and gem brads. The inside has a square stampin up stamp which says friend and i have placed a 65 peel off in the middle. The Happy Birthday stamp is a whispers one.

Good evening hasnt it been nice today managed to get out and walk the Dog without fear of getting wet. Hope tomorrow is as nice.

Creative Inspirations Challenge you to use Acetate

Good morning to you all and big apoligy that this didnt post yesterday. Well Natalie at Creative Inspirations had us all challenged with this one I tell you. I made so many cards and they all ended up in the bin. So girls and boys get out your acetate hiden in your boxes or recycle some and talking of recycle head over and checkout the teams creations Karita has done some recycling.

Ok onto my card. I have use the acetate as a front to my card and have just placed some Basic Grey paper on the inside as a background. The image is a Make It Crafty digi and has been coloured using the no lines technique which is Make it colourful's challenge this week.(have you tried it yet). Think it is as challenging as me using acetate. Lol. Coloured with my promarkers. Placed on a nestie. Few gems and a ribbon to finish. Sentiment is a peel off mounted. Well think that is it for the discription a fairly plain card and hope the acetate shows up.

Oh I got my date for my next operation today knew it was coming but tell you it knocked me sick not looking for ward to it as been told it is worse than last but hopefully will recover quicker this time so I will be missing the end of September.

Hi folks have you seen all these images they are colouring with no lines well they are there but when you colour them omg they disappear. Well mojo has gone on holiday and i thought i would play and see if he fancied coming back sometime soon.

Well I won this habgler from Kimmi and so had to ink her up so here she is with no lines. Be gentle and please dont loom too closely.

A peep into what I did at the weekend

Well this weekend was a busy one for me because I had the most wonderful time with my friend. A friend I made on docrafts many many moons ago who has been such a good friend came up from West Sussex. Her name for peeps that are on docrafts is Queen B (Avril) she is the lady in the brown blouse say next to me. Last year I was very poorly and spent a while in hospital and between her and my 2 other friend Tillytrotter stood behind her and Jules stood behind me in the picture decided we would meet up. So this weekend she arrived on her way up north with her husband Rex lovely friendly man. Saturday they arrived and stayed in the priemer inn not far away so I could pop down and meet them taking spare cups tea bags milk and biscuits as these places never give you enough. Ended up staying for my tea which was really lovely and gosh time flew. Sunday we arranged all to meet. I went to pick Jules up and then on to pick Avril and Rex up and off to Tillys for a super nosh up. Thanks Christine was lovely she said Cake and cuppa but no table was set.

We sat chatting and it felt like we had known each other for years well we had via email. I hope that it wont be years before we get to meet again.

So a big thank you to my friend for a smashing weekend I totally enjoyed myself.

No cards were made as chatting got in the way but we did have a good nosey in Tillys craft room. Dont think she serched our bags on the way out either. lol

Good evening from a very sleepy Manchester been to Clifton Country Park this afternoon with the dog and my 2 nephews and we walked miles in the sunshine so hence I could fall asleep as I type. Strange what a bit of sunshine and fresh air does to a person. Dog was asleep on way home and then slept for a good 2 hours and is now full of beans again. oops Chris will be walking him late tonight.

Good afternoon from a rainy Manchester just been to the shops for some milk with my new mate Buddy he ran me there and back. Now i thought this dog was my son's but I seem to do most of the walking mind you he is at work. lol. I think he is growing but he still doesn't eat his full portion of food but looks healthy enough.

My card I picked this cute liitle guy just peeping over the wall reminds me of our puppy just so nosey. Papers are papermania and have used a fiskers embossing folder called bricks on the cream card. Paw print is a little stamp I have had ages but never used and thought i would stamp randamly as all puppies like to walk all over things well mine does. Some papermainia sheer ribbon to finish. Good afternoon/evening gosh what a wet and miserable day we are having here in Manchester lets hope it keeps all the rioters at home. Oh gosh look at the time thought I had scheduled this but guess these senior moments are coming more and more. Lol. Well the sun has been shinning again and got all my washing done and a few walks with Buddy. Had to waiting for the electrican tonight he was coming after work but guess he had a senior moment to as when i phoned at 7 he said omg i forgot and came home on auto pilot. Coming dinner tomorrow fingers crossed.

Good Wednesday Morning to you all and hope all is well in your world. Today sees another fab challenge over at Creative Inspirations and this week we would love to see you make your project useing the colours ONLY of LEMON & WHITE of course skin and hair colour is allowed.

My card I have used this fab Tilda doesnt she look adorable in Lemon. Thisnt a colour I normally colour in but must say do like her in it. No DP as I didnt have any the right colour. So I found a old papermania stamp and got the old embossing powder out to make my own, which I followed through to the inside as you will beable to see below.

Embossed some card with dots folder and added some papermania gems in the flower centres on the paper and a few gems on the flowers themselves. The sentiment came with the flower stamp.

Creative Inspirations#122 - A Sketch

Morning and gosh where are the weeks going it will be the end of summer at this rate. Hope you are all enjoying the school holidays. Well if you need to get rid of that stress then how about joining us in a challenge at Creative Inspirations. This week Nat has come up with another fab sketch (I do love her sketches). For my card I used a Lili of the valley stamp and used peach & green family to colour it. Coloured in my trustie Promarkers. Papers are Anna Griffin. Punch is a M.S doily round the page set. Some flowers with a few gems and my leaf punch. Satin ribbon to finish it off. The bow on the image has some stickles not sure if it shows up on the picture. The flowers are slightly less orange in real life so at least the reciprocant wont need sun glasses

New Member of the Family

I thought I would show you some pictures of our newest member to the family.

My son has always wanted a dog and yes I said dog not fox as people keep saying it looks like. His name is Buddy and is so far such a good natured thing and hardly ever barks unless he is playing but then it is more conversation. He is 4 1/2 months old and a shetland sheepdog will only stand about a 18inches tall. My froends think i am mad and I totally agree and soft as i kept saying No but he skips backwards when he gets excited and i just caved in.

Time to go home

Hope he is as good tonight as last night and i get a full nights sleep again. So if I dont get round to much blogging I apolise but i need a cuddle.

Crafty Catz #92 - NO Pink or Blue

Good morning hope you are all well and the sun is shinning here in Manchester. Well today is Friday so that means another challenge at Crafty Catz and this week it is my turn to set the challenge. I do hope you will come and join us.

Ok the theme is a colour one with a difference. It is to not use these colours Pink & Blue.

So you can make lots of cards with anything else. Would be great for tradional christmas cards.

I picked this fab image with these lovely flowers and used yellows i thought it would make a lovely card to send to someone to let them know that I was thinking of them. So this is winging it's way to a friend who is going through a difficult time. Hope she likes. Coloured with promarkers and used papermania capsule papers & ribbon. Used a few gems but kept fairly simple.

Good evening a little late for posting this thought I had done it but a senior moment had arisen and I had dreamt it. Well guess better late than never and my apologies.

Well this week at Creative Inspirations it is Caroline's turn to pick the challenge and wow what a challenge. She would like you all to produce something to do with the theme

Well I tell you this was completely out of my comfort zone my brain just went to sleep so after quick chat with Caroline and a few ideas floating around I managed to complete it.

Ok now for my card after our brain storming session and some idea's of different countries and what traditions they have. I found this digi stamp from PC Crafter with the North Pole on it well it is the other side of the world. i was looking for a digi of Santa flying round the world.

Image coloured with my promarkers. DP from last year think Dovecraft. Snowflake cuttlebug die. Sentiment sorry don't know the name of stamp. Silver mirri card and lots of glitter.

Glue or Tape

Good afternoon folks have a question for you. Do you use glue or tape to stick your card & DP together. I use double sided tape did get from papermil there own and was great price but sadly closed now and rapidly running out. I cant believe how much i use. Have used anita's glue but tend to ruin the paper.
So any tips or idea's are welcome.

A Card I didnt want to make

This is a card I made for Liz G's family some of you may know her if you are a docrafter. I was shocked to hear of her sad and sudden passing and although I generally don't make these i couldn't not send my condolences. The sentiment is a stamp I received this weekend from Laney and it just was the most perfect sentiment for this.

Good Evening I have some bad news and some good to share with you all.
Well lets get the Bad out of the way first and hopefully the good will cheer you all up. The lovely Dawn has decided to step down from her postion on Crafty Catz and although she hasnt been with us long she will be missed and we wish her all the best. She is my twin as we both share the same birthday so i will be extra sorry to see her go but hopefully she will not be a stranger.

Now the good news I won 5 fab images at Tiddly inks from there new release wow it was soo hard to pick just 5. So if you havent checked them out what you waiting for. Also I have just found out I won Guylou's challenge and part of the prize will be a guest spot 1 week.

Creative Inspiration #120 - No Flowers

Good morning hope you are all enjoying the week half way through not long to weekend now. Today is the infants sports day at the local school so I will be going to cheer on my nephew.

Well as it is Wednesday it is time for another challenge at Creative Inspiration and this week we would love to see what you come up with as long as there are NO FLOWERS yes you read correctly so put them yummy flowers away and find some other embellishments.

Now for my card I decided to try something a little different in that I thought NO Flowers lets make it Clean & Simple. I used a Digi image from Bugaboo just love these they make me smile. The sentiment is a lot of my friends down to a Tee.

Brown shades used to tie in with the Chocolate theme and of course the lady has to have nice Pink lips. Image coloured with Promarkers and and the clouds are also done with sparkly chalks. Gold candy dots and the paper is from a Christmas pad with really lovely gold stripes. Nice coffee colour satin ribbon to finish. The inside has been decorated to co ordinate.
