Crafty Catz Challenge 39 - Distressing

Well it is Friday so that means time for another challenge over at Crafty Catz and wow did we have a great turn out last week 163 entries. It looks like you all like Digi images as much as me and I didnt realise how many use them.
Well it is Suzies turn to set the challenge as she has picked Distressing. Well I am never too sure about this but as they say practise make perfect. Well I cant say mine is perfect and i would say I need lots more practise but did enjoy it. I use papermania papers from my stash and the panel at the side is embossed with a cuttlebug folder dots. A large lace bow from my stash. Flowers I made from scraps punched and tiny papermania brads as centres. The cute image is Sweet Dreams by Penny Johnson and is coloured with distress inks and has sukera gel pens for the stars. The stamp came from my fellow team mate Lindsey in a little candy she ran. So thanks Lindsey I love it.

Our sponsor this week is Di's Digital Downloads who is kindly donating 5 yes 5 images of your choice.

Happy Birthday Naomi

Hi hope you had a lovely day mine has been very mixed. Some happy and some sad news. A fellow blogger posted on docrafts today that her son had died which has left me in shock. So Jennie I will be thinking of you. But on to happy things I made this card for another friend which i met on docrafts know to most as Mad Moose ( click on name and wish her a happy birthday) Received this image in a Rak and immediately thought of her so saved for her birthday. Reason being she does a lot of cross stitch and I was lucky enough to now me the proud owner of one of her creations.
I have coloured the image with my promarkers and used this paper which while rummaging through my papers for something that had some stitch like theme on. Sorry don't know where it is from as I think it actually came from Jennnie. Used some zig zag ribbon and some fibres for texture and cute the panel with my pinking scissors. Few buttons and a small stamped sentiment to finish. Naomi has received this as it is her birthday today and she said that it did remind her of herself so think i succeeded in my aim.

I am entering this card into the following challenges.
Stamp with fun - birthdays
Every-body-art challenge - birthdays
Passion for promarkers- think of numbers ( see numbers on the card- Tape measure)
Well I hope you like my card and please call back tomorrow morning as we have a fab challenge at Crafty Catz by Suzie. Thank you all that joined us this week we have certainly enjoyed hopping over to all your blogs
