HAPPY DAVID'S DAY

Good Morning hope today brings you sunshine. Gosh today is the 1st March where did Februry go I know it is the shortest month but did i blink. Well today being the 1st March means it is St David's Day so to all my Welsh followers hope today is extra special. Sorry I don't speak welsh even though I was born there but my Mum could speak a little but wasn't allowed to go to a welsh speaking school as both her parents where not welsh.

Well today is also time for a new challenge at Crafty Catz and this week it is Nina's turn and she would like to celebrate St David's Day and would like to see either Dragons or Daffodils on your creations.

Image coloured with my promarkers and papers are from my stash i have had this sheet for a few years and knew it would come in handy. Silk flowers from a local shop. Pearls are from QVC many many moons ago. Ribbon from Crafty Ribbons. Bow is from papermania capsal collection along with the dp strip in the centre of the card.Liquid pearls on the image. Think this card has been made with lots of supplies i have neglected.
It is nice to use such cheerful colours.

EMBOSSING
now this could be dry embossing or embossing powders just lets us see what you can do with it.

Now onto my card I have used from our sponsor Meljen Designs. Isnt he cute!

The centre panel has been embossed with my cuttlebug folder spots and dots and the flowers are a marianne die which I have then run through my machine and embossed with my dots folder. The Dp is from Bo Bunny pad and the strip paper is fro a pack i got from a garden centre. Little heart metal brads for the centres. Sentiment is from a clear stamp set and the image and sentiment have been cut out using a my XCut oval folder. Some kraft card to mount and some pearls from Meiflower crafts. Narrow ribbon from my stash. The layout I have flipped on its side and you can find the challenge in the list below. This card is in the post winging its way to a friend hope she likes.

Buttons & Bows at Creative Inspirations

Good morning Wednesday again  gosh the weeks are going so quckly and I noticed how light it is getting in the morning, it is so nice. Well Wednesday means time for another challenge at Creative Inspirations and this week we want to see lots of Buttons and Bows.

 It can be any occassion as long as we can see Buttons and Bows.

I coloured the image with my promarkers, Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, pearls from Meiflower crafts and local shop. Clock charm from my stash, Ribbon from Crafty Ribbons and local shop, Buttons from stash. Lace from local shop. Swirl stamp from the papermill. I have distressed the Dp which is a K&Co paper which has a vintage feel to it.

Well hope you like this is a slightly different style for me a touch of Vintage/ Steam Punk I think. Leave me a comment telling what you think, I love reading your comments.
