Well here in the uk it is Mother's Day so to all you Mums out there have a wonderful day. Lost my mum when she was 49 and i was 28 at least she saw my baby who is now 27. Lost my sister a few years ago aged 39 and she would have been a Grandmother now wish she had seen her Grandchild. Miss them daily.
Mums enjoy your day and daughters, sons enjoy your mums you never know when they will be taken from you.
I find Father's Day much like how you are explaining this Sue... my dad died when I was 16 and Father's Day is a sad day for me too. It hurts but keep the fond memories close and it helps to soothe the pain. Sending you a ((( big hug ))) over the www xx
ReplyDeleteOh Sue, just read your message and it made me want to cry! You poor thing, luckily I still have my mom and I am am mom of 2 gorgeous boys, who have made me some lovely card today. Father's day is harder, as I lost my dad 18 months ago. Love Sue x

ReplyDeleteI am sorry you have lost your mum, I know I still have mine and at the moment she is very hard work, I lost my Dad in 1974 and I still often think of him, always hard on fathers Day, so I can understand how you feel.
ReplyDeleteFor the first time this year our step sons partner has wished my a Happy Mothers Day I cried as I dont have any children of my own and they are all step family on my husbands side, although we dont use the step word, I hope you had a nice day and enjoyed the sunshine. Margaret D.
