Good morning well just the birds are still singing and the washing is blowing nicely on the line. Oh it is Friday so that means we are about to start the weekend and hey ho it is a Bank Holiday here in the UK. Shame so many shops open so lots of people have to work them. Guess gone are the days when Bank Holidays meant spending the time with Family if nice maybe a picnic at the local park.
Well what ever you get up to maybe you have time for a challenge. If so CRAFTY CATZ challenge starts to day and the title of my post may look strange but it a song do you remember it.
The lovely talented Nina got to pick and she would like you to create a card
INSPIRED BY A SONG
We have 2 sponsors this week
and
2 great prizes up for grabs so before you skip off to hum your song and dig out your images let me show you my card. I just love this song by Lesley Gore although I did have to look up her name could i think of it when I needed it but gosh I could sing the words. Ok I wont as we have sun and i dont want it raining.
I used one of my neglected Lili of the valley stamp but I do love the attitude this little one has. Dont people know that the party girl gets her way.
Close up of the image
I have used papermania paper. Coloured the image with promarkers and used distressed inks on the edge of the card. Diecut flowers. Ribbon from stash. Papermania sentiment.
Ok a nice and easy challenge one you can sing along to so pop on over and checkout

fabulous card sweetie...so cute and coloured perfect and a brill title.it was a hard one for me nothing went with status quo..so had to go alice cooper lol!!!!! sassyx hugs
ReplyDeleteLovely card, love the image and great song your card says it all.
ReplyDeleteBank holiday I wish they would turn the clock back and close the shops just for one day, it's a shame that people have to work on a bank holiday, I know there are some who have to ie hospitals and police etc, But the shops could close for one day and they would not miss one days takings in fact it could work out cheaper for them, no electric bills, no staff to pay double time, but no they are so into they have to be open just because mr down the road decides to open they have to can't miss a customer spending a few pence.
Have a nice weekend.
Margaret

A gorgeous card Sue.
ReplyDeleteI looked like that this weekend..only not as pretty and a darn sight chubbier.
I had a face like a slapped backside.
Three whole days off work and lots of playtime, only I can't, so I've been miserable and grumpy too..no wonder the boys went out and left me home alone!
Big hugs
Elaine xx
