Hello i said i would be back. Well last week i did a sneak peep of one of the projects i did for Polkadoodles for there Show on Create and Craft on the 8th. I do hope you saw this if not you can still catch it on line. The show featured the new cd - OCTAVIA - FROSTED WINTER omg I so love this CD there is so much in it Papers are lush when you print they are the ones you sit and stroke BUT YOU CAN USE. You can purchase the CD from Nikky at the shop HERE
Now if you only want to try some of images that come pre coloured or black and white then you can purchase them. But folks go for the lot you will go back for more and more.
So I thought i would try doing some up cycling and go some of those cheap coasters mine cost 75p in the reduced section. This is what you could make with just a few supplies
The images are Pre coloured printed on Mat Photo Paper
Frosted Fox
Frosted Spines
Frosty Penguins
Frosty Polar family
Ok quick supplies need
Mats, Modge Podge Mat and Sparkle, Acrylic Paint
I lightly sanded the top to key
Each step must be left to dry
Base coat of paint going over the sides roughly to look like snow
Print images from CD on Photo Paper cut to size
Add thin layer of Matt Podge Podge and then lay picture on top make sure to get all air out
Next when dry add another layer of modge podge
Next another layer with some Sparkle Modge Podge
Another layer of Matt Podge to seal
I think you could even do the top coat with some varnish to make them more durable
I would say you need 3 layers but that is up to you.
The sparkle didnt show in my pictures but it was there
So thats it leave to dry for a few days and wrap with some nice ribbon and you have a nice teachers present for a few £'s
Well hope you like and maybe try i know i will be doing some more.
Thanks for popping by
