Can you believe it? CRAFT Challenge is already 4 years old. Originally started by Tracy from Just Tracy Crafts and with a DT mostly recruited from Trimcraft forum members (Hence the term CRAFT Challenge, which stood for Crafters Residing Are Friendly Trimmies. Or if you wished alternative meaning of Can't Remember A Flipping Thing) on the 4^th of May 2009.

We have now grown to be a large team of Design Team Members from all around the world, supplemented with lots of Guest Designers who join us for a month at a time.

We have always welcomed all kinds of craft, not just paper craft (unless specifically stated so in the challenge at the time) and are happy to have such a large group of faithful followers.

So, how are we going to celebrate this milestone?

Well, how else can we celebrate than to have our yearly Blogaversary Blog Hop?

Time for a Sketch - Creative Inspirations - Stamp fairy

Good evening half way though the week and it is a short week with the bank holiday hope you all had a lovely sunny time. Wednesday brings a new challenge for you at CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS and this week our Nat has one of her fab sketches for you to play with.

Good morning well just the birds are still singing and the washing is blowing nicely on the line. Oh it is Friday so that means we are about to start the weekend and hey ho it is a Bank Holiday here in the UK. Shame so many shops open so lots of people have to work them. Guess gone are the days when Bank Holidays meant spending the time with Family if nice maybe a picnic at the local park.

Well what ever you get up to maybe you have time for a challenge. If so CRAFTY CATZ challenge starts to day and the title of my post may look strange but it a song do you remember it.

I used one of my neglected Lili of the valley stamp but I do love the attitude this little one has. Dont people know that the party girl gets her way.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US WE ARE 5

Good morning what a lovely start to the day we are having here in manchester. the Sun is shining and the birds are singing to the annoyance of my dog who thinks he can catch them  when will he learn they can fly.

Well who is US you may be thinking well. It is CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS 5TH BIRTHDAY

So what better way than to celebrate with our challenge. So our theme this week is BIRTHDAYS. Yes a nice easy one as we all know someone that will be having a birthday and if not a stock card is alway handy.

For my card I used a image from our sponsor and i picked this one because it has the correct number of candles on the cake. Wonder if he is going to share it with us. Looks like a nice yummy chocolate cake too.

I think the papers are all from a magazine on of those pads they where giving away as the front cover is missing but they are lovely quality. M.S round the page punch but just did a line. Whispers Stamp sentiment. New Memory Box star circle but only used a section. Satin Ribbon from a local shop. Candy dots. All card from Papermill..

INKY PRESENT FOR TILLY

I thought I would share with you something very different for me. I ususally just make paper crafts and find altering thing a little out of my comfort zone. Well my dear friend Tilly had a birthday yesterday and always make her friends thing so I had ago and did a picture.

This was a frame I had got many moons ago but never used so although it was fairly large off i went with it to my room to get out my inks and paints. 

And this is what came out what do you think. Tilly liked thank goodness

This is how it started out

Inks are Inkiluscious london blue and lime over sprayed with gold mica spray. Image coloured with promarkers. lace from stash. Sizzix diecut boarder. Cherry lynn  flourish, memory box butterfly. Pearls. Flowers from Wild orchid andthe works. Card from Papermill & gold mirri card. I hope the shimmer shows in the picture. The colours where picked to tie into Tillys colour scheme at home.

I was pleased with how it turned out but the glass on the frame made the image look paler than i would have liked. Not sure if it got lost in the frame.

Seeing Purple

Good morning do you have a bus day or are you just catching a few relaxing hours either way I am her to let you know that we have a new challenge at CRAFTY CATZ. This week the lovely Beth has picked our theme and she has gone with a colour theme. Yes she would like to see lots of cards creations in

PURPLE

Skin and hair colour is allowed. But your creation should be shades of Purple to qualify for the prize this week from

I have used a image from Crafts & Me isnt she Lovely. 

Well this is a little different for me as i tend to go for natural colour hair but this image cried out for something different. Dp is the Purple capsule collection from papermania. Lots of Viva Pearls. M.S punch to create the circle. Paper Doily from the craft fayre. Lace I have had forever more not sure where it came from.
