Card and Nappy Cake for Connor Lee

Morning just thought i would share some pictures of my Card i made my Great Nephew didnt go to town with this kept quite simple as parents are very young. Image is from the new Whiff of Joy Stamps. paper i received in a draw from Kimmi and immediately saved for the occassion.
Nappy Cake is a liitle on the large size forgot to stop rolling nappies. 65 nappies new born and mini. Top bottles are the tiny bottle which they had been looking for. Seemed to go down a hit as they hadnt seen one before and Dad kept say wow cool mint and thanks. Lol.

I am a Great Aunt

Yes doesnt that sound old. Lol. Little boy born last night Connor Lee 10.30pm 7 1/2lb. Mum and baby doing well. Cant wait to have a hold but got a cold so will have to keep my distance.
Picture sent via phone to me so sorry not too good but wanted to share. Just wish my sister was here to see she would have been a grand mother at 41. lol. How i could have ribbed her.

No image Challenge

On Sunday at the Manchester meet Patsi challenged me to make a card using these materials.I could add a sentiment, verse, journaling and anything else but no image. Well this was way out of my comfort zone. I added the flowers and also the topper. Also this week on the Docraft forum the ABC challenge is Anniversary so thought i would conbine the 2.

Penny Black Team Effort - 4 challenges

Got this stamp this morning and couldnt wait to play. It is adorable isnt it or is it me just being soft. lol
Stamp is called Team Effort and think that is a perfect title for this card. Teddy Backing paper was from a docraft friend Christine (tillytrotter) Sentiment was from another Crafty Ange. Rest is from my stash.
I am entering this in the docraft penny black challenge hosted by Robo craft. I am also entering it in the Friday Sketcher just moved the gems alittle further apart than sketch hope thats ok. Lastly entering this in Papertake Weekly Challenge.
I am also entering this in Creative Inspirations challenge blog spot( not ours). Miss Anya Altered Container

On Sunday at the Warrington Meet someone comes up with a challenge, well it was Shels turn. She gave us all a container and we had to decorate ours. I used some lovely paper sorry dont have the name of it as Shel provided it and watercoloured a miss anya and added a few flowers from my stash. Added some Black Velvet Ribbon to finish. This was a soap tab box but will now hold my cuttlebug folders.

Anyone for a Ice Lolly - Summer Tilda

Made this at the Warrington Meet on Sunday with the Crafty Devils.
Used my new Tilda's and watercoloured her. Papers are Laura Ashley again just love this pad and Basic Grey. Papermania gems and my summer sentiment stamp.

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Dressing Up Maggie

Not entered A spoon full of sugar challenge for such along time thought i would have ago. Got this stamp via a friend Crafty Ange on docrafts we did a swop she had been on my wish list for ages but just never managed to get her. So thought that i would try my luck with her. Papers are Papermania. Coloured with my promarkers and then 3d glossed. Flowers are from my stash small ones are from local garden centre. Pearls are from a string of tiny pearls. Gems are from papermill in tiny pots sorry dont know the name of them.The right hand corner has 3 star gems in red too but dont show on picture too well.

Summer's Day tilda - just magnolia week 13

Well at long last I have managed to have a play with my New Summer Tilda's and do my Just Magnolia Challenge hope i have made the dead line.
Papers are Laura Ashley and Gingham download. Buttons where a bargin about 30 for £1 from Lowery. Flowers are from woodware punch. Pale blue and Navy ribbon. Base card is a Pale orange peach colour from Papermill.

Creative Inspirations #17 Stitching

Good morning everyone it is Wednesday and a New challenge at Creative Inspirations - Stitching. This can be either Real or Faux.
1stly let me thank you all that took part last week you all seemed to enjoy it and we had some amazing entries.



I have used Laura Ashley Paper and Hand Stitched with Pink thread also hand stitched the flower which i pricked the pattern from part of a download i have. Image is Whiff of joy do love these stamps. Coloured with my Promarkers and added some nice Baby Blue Satin Ribbon from my local market, a few gems and finished.

Tuesday Taggers as their theme is textures. The textures i have used are the stitching and the satin ribbon.
Whiff of joy is Piercing so will beable to enter this as my stitching was pierced and also the flower is from a download that has been pierced.

Made this from the sketch at Truly Scrumptious with the theme of Black, White and 1 other colour.
Image on the front and inside are from the New Summer Club.

Flower is from a friend and centre from my stash
Did this as a friendship for a docrafter hope she likes.

I am also enterying this in the Tuesday Taggers as their theme is to do a card for a friend and include a sentiment.
Hope this is ok as the inside has the sentiment to go with the flowers.

Creative Inspiration Challenge 16 Gems & Pearls - Whiff of Joy

Morning well this week has gone quick not had much time for crafting still sorting my insurance from my kitchen fire. Seems like for like isn't what it says. Strange things these insurance companies.
Well enough of my worries and this week's challenge over at Creative Inspirations is Pearls and Gems. Well i always think of weddings with Pearls & gems and as a kind friend sent me this stunning image from the new Whiff of Joy Collection just had to play. I am also entering this in the A Spoon full of Sugar challenge - Hearts. I have used pearl hearts on the flowers in the shape of hearts and the pin has a pale green pearl heart.
Papers are K & Co with the Happy Ever After from Kimmi, thanks. The Pins and gems are from my Stampin Up candy win been waiting for a card to use them. Flowers are from my stash The veil has iridescent glitter on which the camera didn't pick up too well but if you click on the picture it should enlarge for you to see. The bride has 3d gloss on her to finish. Hope you like i really enjoyed doing this.

Couple of thank you cards

Well been trying to catch up on a few thank you cards for friends.
I have used a stamp from Pollycraft for my 1st one she is so cute and some papers from my stash. Trying to use some oddments up as i have quite a few large pieces. Coloured with my Promarkers trying some new colours i got not 100% sure i have mastered the darker colours but practise makes perfect.


The next is from Sugar nellie decided to do a little paperpiecing really enjoyed doing this and have made several layers for the dress. used my new punch i got from my lovely friend janette. Coloured with my watercolour pencils and added a flower made from 3 different colours to match the colours of the papers



Lastly is another Sugar Nellie stamp i have yet to get but is on my wish list. My friend christinekindly stamped me a few so lovely colouring this. Yet again used my Promarkers some paper from my stash and the sentiment is from love notes from polly craft designs.

Penny Black Summer card

Well the theme for this weeks challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar is a summer project/card. Well I had this image sat looking at me so i thought what better to depict summer and with the heat we have been having we all need a little shade. Have use some nice cooling blue cools to reflect the shade hedgie is trying to get from the flower and used a summer stamp i picked up for 50p at a craft fair.The buttons have little blue bees on but sadly picture not too great. Sorry!

Fairy Anya

I have made this for a friend got the image off as part of my birthday present from a docraft member in a card. Just love it and was a dream to colour. I have used my Promarkers and have glitter the wings. The layout is from a sketch over Papertake so am entering it in their challenge. Wow hope i have just managed the deadline.

Something for your unmounted stamps

Made this for a friend for her birthday wasnt sure what she had but thought that something to hold those unmounted stamps and clear one.

I used a Cd Case that has quite a wide spine to enable you to hold a few and take the thickness. Used some paper from my stash and coloured tilda from the winter collection with my promarkers.

Creative Inspirations - Challenge No15 Masking

Morning sorry been away and bad blogger had sight accident at home set fire to cooker but insurance company onto it and no one hurt.

Well now i have apoligised for not being here onto this weeks challenge and here is my DT Card for Creative Inspirations( wow i do love saying that) Masking if you havent done it before have ago there is a link to a tutorial on the blog and it is very easy honest. Congratulations to Tanya for her brillient receipe book.
I have used Tilda and the Bee hive from my spring collection (summer being shipped as we speak)
Used Yellow and Black theme of card matted and layered with co ordinated ribbon and paper flower. Leaves are from a woodware punch. Sentiment is from Funky Kits in a lucky bag and think it is perfect for this. Punched a small black flower for centre.



I am also entering this in a docrafts tilda challenge theme yellow and black.

Today Anything But A Card and more

Sorry not been about much this week been busy doing family things and setting fire to my kitchen. At least no one was hurt and not too much damage i think.

Well this week over on CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS the theme is "Anything but a card". Now that give us all massive scope to do lots of girlie things and let our creative juices flow. So I hope you will all join us. So what you waiting for go get over there and check out the brief and what on offer this week on the blog. Also I have decided to enter this in the JUST MAGNOLIA Monthly challenge to alter a container. Hope a CD Case is ok.

I decided to have a look round and use something i could alter. So found this old CD case emptied the inside and decorated the front with some nice papers and coloured a tilda sat down. Got a postit pad cut it down slightly and stuck to front. Raided the kids pencil box for a small pencil and hey presto you have a postit stand for my desk. This can stand or lay flat and the inside can hold spare notes or follow up notes.
Hope you like. Now what you waiting for go and get busy and let us all see what you can come up with. I know a covered bakebean tin makes a great penholder.


Another example that you could do is

I made this for my friend julie's birthday to go with some stamps i got her. It is a Pad from the Papermill which you can stamp images in. I decorated the front and filled it with mostly Miss Anyas to match the front. I made a matching card but silly me didnt take a picture. Got these lovely stamps from a very good friend avril for my birthday so just had to play.
Well have i got your creative juices going yet. Hope so cant wait to see what you come up with.

Miss Anya Trifold Wallet

Wow do love these new Miss Anyas. Got both sets from a dear friend Avril Queen B over on docrafts for my birthday and wanted to do something for her as a thank you. So decided i would make a wallet and put some nice images in for her to play with as she is just starting to watercolour. So as she sent me the Miss Anyas what better than to use these.Decised to go with the new set with the sunshine one and when you open i choose the one with the umberella. I was thinking of the saying i read somewhere but couldnt remeber the exact words. Come rain or shine you are a friend of mine. Well it is something like that. Basic grey papers and papermaina ribbon which ties to hold together. I did a double fold as a spine to hold the images due to the thickness bit like a book.

Paper Piecing

Well hello it is wednesday again and my 3rd project for my Guest Design spot over at Creative Inspirations. This week we would like you all to join in and make something using the theme of Paper Piecing. I am also entering this in this weeks Just Magnolia as their finishes tomorrow and the theme is paper piecing so how lucky was that.


I have use Tilda from the spring collection and papers are papermania and oddments for her dress ( paper pieced). The spotted lace on the dress is the back of an evelope. waste not want not. Lol. Cuttlebossed the pink strip with dots. Added a few gems and a handmade flower and leaves are from a punch made by woodware. Sorry not sure the make of the small punch. The cake is a freebie stamp on a mag which i have paper pieced too. Touch of glitter as it is a girls best friend

PC Crafter Elephants Walking

This week at the Manchester meet the theme was elephants and as i dont have much found this download on mycomputer that i got from PC Crafter a while ago. Papers are from my stash and i printed the image twice and layered it.
