Creative Inspirations DT Card - Sketch Time

Morning folks gosh it is cold today posting this and then off to walk dog and the shops for some bits why do you always forget something.
Well this being Wednesday it is time for another challenge at CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS and the lovely talented Natlie has one of her sketches for us. Before I show the sketch can I say what a fab turn out we had last week and hope you will all join us again. Ok here is the sketch

Onto my card I have used some old papers I have had years. My image is from Kenny K store and is great for the boys there are more christmas images like this that the others on the team have used so pop on over to the blog or get on over to the store and grab them. Image croped and mounted on black nestie and added a touch of saucy black lace to match. Red Gems fome stash and sequin ribbon. Nestability gold die cut flower. I have left the sentiment to nearer the time as I am not sure which gentleman will be receiving this. Image coloured with my trustie Promarkers and a touch of glitter.

Now onto my card for your inspiration we where given some images to play with. I used 3 of the images and made a long card kept fairly simple. Coloured images with Promarkers and matted on Mirri card. Paper is from a Papermania Pad which is a few years old this pad seems to go on forever so expect to see some more. Ribbon from stash and some papermania gems for the corners. Glitter and a Funky Foam Happy Holidays from a friend.

Well thats my simple card and it was a nice change from doing a Square card. Oh while you are reading this can you help I was looking for some paper to wrap round my candles while I heat the image. Last year I am sure I used Greaseproof paper but it was white but this year all the greaseproof paper is a brownish colour and am wondering if this is correct. Any idea's I would love to hear them. Good evening sorry this is a little late but had a busy day went for my 3 yearly check up for my boobies hope you are all looking after yourself and having your checks.

Crafty Catz #107 - ANYTHING GOES

Good Friday morning to you all hope all is well and you are ready for another challenge. This week at CRAFTY CATZ it is the lovely talented and funny JANETTE'S turn to pick and she has a really hard one for you I dont think. As I am so far behind with my Christmas cards i picked this cutie cuddling the snowman hope he doesnt melt. I also made a small tag to go with it.

Son's Birthday Card

I meant to post this yesterday but as this week is flying and I don't seem to have enough hours in the day it is a little late but at least he got it for his birthday.

The image is a Digi StampBoutique called chap snoozing. lol. This is so my son half the time. papers are from stash and used my nesties to mount the image on. Coloured with my promarkers and added some gems for a little sparkle. In the corners of the nestie I used liquid pearls. Added some papermania ribbon and a Happy Birthday sentiment. Kept it simple as cant see a 29 year old wanting lots of fuss.

Well hope you like he said he did but thought I was being a bit cheeky with the image. lol.

Good evening gosh this posting is so late I just don't know what has happened to the day. What with clinic appointments and now a poorly dog think he is missing my son . Anyway enough of my troubles as my gran would say it will all come out in the wash.

The DP papers are Papermania and Dovecraft and are all glittered I do hope the picture shows this. they are really yummy and I hate cutting yummy papers done you. Some ribbon from my stash and flowers too are from stash. Few gems from the range to finish off. The leaves are a punch and are done in silver mirri card.

Crafty Catz DT Card #105 - Halloween

Wow it is Friday already what happened to the week. Well it is time for another challenge at Crafty Catz and this week it is the lovely and talented Dianne's turn to pick the theme. Well with Halloween just around the corner she would love you to make a card or project with this theme.

For my card I used one of the images from AiFactory called Cute Puppy Dog as I wanted to make a thank you for a neighbour who helped me out while in hospital with my puppy Buddy. I coloured it with my promarkers and used Basic Grey Papers from an old pad really need to use some of my older papers. Nestie to sit the image on. Some twine, red gems and some gold sequins. Thank you sentiment is a wooden stamp with no name on sorry.

Good Morning from a bright sunny although chilly Manchester. Today being Wednesday sees another challenge for you at Creative Inspirations I hope your ready for it. Today we would like to see 3 main colours. PURPLE BLACK & ORANGE.

For my card I picked one of my fave Mo Manning images doesn't she have attitude I just love this. Coloured with my promarkers and added lots of glitter. A Very Good Happy Thursday yes you read right Craft Challenge DT Card . Yes i have been accepted onto this fab challenge with such a great bunch of talented people I feel so lucky. This said I do hope you will come and join me in a fab challenge.

Too Cute to Scare Witches Cauldron

Well hello again gosh 2 posts from me today I am doing well. If you are looking for the Creative Inspirations Challenge then it is the post below. While looking for some challenges that my cards fitted I saw this wonderful sketch by Gayle over at the I Play the Sugar Bowl and although I haven't played for a while ( note to self this must change) just had to go and make a card. I coloured this image a little while ago so just needed to get it all together. Image was coloured with Promarkers. Papers are from my stash and think are Minds Eye. The web is an embossing plate from Fiskers which I then rubbed a white brilliance pad over. Few buttons a Pumpkin 3d sticker and some plaited twine. Sentiment is a stamp but i have gone over with a white gel pen. Few green brads to hold twine and that's the lot.

We where given some images to play with and I picked this Snowman really do need to get some Christmas cards done so great to see this fellow on the list. DP is from last year and I have added some acrylic paint onto it. Sentiment stamps are all small clear stamps I got from a bargain bucket sale few years ago. Nestie to mount my snowman on which I ran through my cuttlebug folder.
Lots of snow and glitter and a leaf punch to add the bushes. The image was coloured with my promarkers.

Good afternoon well weekend is nearly there just got back from my visit to nurse she seems happy with my progress so that good although a slight concern she wasnt prepared to look at it but hospital asked me to ask her guess it pass the buck. No worries i will be not panic and hopefully it will sort its self out.

Creative Inspirations Challenge DT Single Layer Card

Good Wednesday Morning from another very wet Manchester gosh it is still fairly warm here so guess we cant complain too much. Well as I said last night I would be back and so I am with another card which is completely out of my comfort zone a single layer card. Hope you like and must say it turned out better than i thought it would.

The stamp I received at weekend from my 2 friends who kindly went shopping forme at the Leigh Craft Fayre which I didnt make again this year. What a lovely surprise and I also got another from them along with my completed shopping list and some yummy extra's they knew i would want. White base card with a square frame of glitter made with double sided tape. Image stamped direct to card and coloured with promarkers. Glitter for the snow ice. Sutle shading of chalk for the back ground think that suttle camera didnt pick it up. Flower is one of my new dies isnt it yummy. Ribbon is the lovely candy I won from Trish at Crafty Ribbons. Sentiment isa peel off which matched the colour perfectly. Below is a close up of this cute little stamp.

I'M Back and a card I wish I didnt have to Make

Good Evening friends thanks for popping back and thanks for all your good wishes for my operation. I am now at home and making a good recovery still not there yet but improving daily.
Today I have a card I would like to share with you. While I was in hospital a very good friend of mine had the worse news she had been dreading. Her husband the sweetest person you would want to call a friend was gravely ill and after a very short and brave period lost his battle. Why is the world such a cruel place, takes the lovely, kind ,gentle people and leaves some of the worse behind. Well he is at peace and no doubt looking after her from above.
I found this stamp in my box of clear stamps and had an idea of the heart and the shadow of the heart on a pool of water with a dove above taking it off to heaven. Not sure if this is what i made but that was my idea. Kept it plain with some silver and black satin ribbon and the water is watered down glitter pen hope it shows in the close up. A few black gems and the dove has a clear heart gem in its beak. The sentiment is an Anna Griffin stamp.





Well hope you like my card this is my 2nd sympathy card this year and hopefully my last for 2011.
