Sneak Peep DAY 2 at CRAFTY SENTIMENTS New Release

Good morning are you ready for another sneak peep

Hi I am here today to show you a sneak peep of one of our fab new stamps being released on the 22nd of this month at CRAFTY SENTIMENTS. Head on over to the INSPIRATIONAL BLOG to see what the team have produced with the new stamps which are being snow cased over 3 days and today is day 2 so if you missed yesterdays then have a peeps and catch them. For my creation I have used the new stamp JUST FOR YOU and made a fab bag to hold some yummy chocolates.
Hi I have taken inspiration from my team mate Celine I guess you could say I Challenges
her last months release here a stunning bag so here is mine.
This is the finished bag

So this is how I made my bag and the products I have used.
The base is a 7cm box base made with a 3cm scored wall

Then I cut a sheet of vellum to measure 15cms x 30cms and with double sided tape i stuck the vellum to the base along the long side and up as in the picture below

I then coloured my image with my promarkers and cut it out here is a close up of it on the bag

Below i then got all the elements I needed to decorate the bag. some pink gingham ribbon , 2 small scallop circles, 1 xcut oval, 1 Tiffany frame from memory box & flowers from wild orchid

I folded the circles in half and glued to the top as the close and punched 2 holes in each which then is threaded with the satin ribbon and tied into a bow. I mounted the frame onto the oval which had been embossed with birds and swirls cuttlebug folder. I placed the image onto the right hand side and arranged the flowers on the left. Before adding this to the bag I attached the gingham ribbon to the base. Then placed the Image and frame to the centre of the bag to finish. All is left was to fill it with some yummy chocolates.

luara loves prom dress book for reference

Hi Stampers! Today I have created a Faux Book Card or sometimes known as a Book Shadow Box. This is the first time I have ever created one of these and I love how it turned out :)

If you want to create a Faux Book here are the instructions:

Cut the cardstock for your cover at 5 1/4" x 9 1/2" and then score it at 4 1/4" and 5 1/4"
The Designer Paper for the cover is cut at 4" x 5"
The Designer Paper for the Spine and inside spine is cut at 3/4" x 5"

To create your book pages you will need to cut:
2 cardstock pieces that measure 4" x 10"
2 cardstock pieces that measure 5" x 10"

You are going to score all four of these every 1/2" to the very end.
To create the book pages - take each piece and accordion fold these back and forth - be sure
to use your bone folder between each fold to get nice, crisp folds.
After you have the piece all folded - sponge the edges with ink if you wish.

Then take one long piece and one short piece and "marry" them so they make a right angle,
sliding them together so the pages alternate. Glue the outside flaps to hold the pages in place.
Add the other long and short end to create your book pages, gluing each outside flap together
until you have a full rectangle.

Place your decorated insert onto the inside back cover and then glue your book pages over it.
To create the decorated top of the pages, just cut strips of cardstock and punch one edge.
Glue down on top of the book pages, miter the corners of the two top strips in you wish.

Then just decorate as you want!

Well good morning if you have come here looking for my Craft project it is below this one. But while you are here let me show you what we are up to at Crafty Catz this week. This week it is the lovely talented Annas turn to pick our theme. As it is winter here she has thought we could do with some cheering up with some Fantasy. So she would like to see Fairies on your cards. This doesnt have to be winter as long as there are fairies.
Our sponsor this week is Fitztown who is giving our 3 images of their choice
We where also allowed to play with some fab images and I picked this lovely fairy by Morgan Fitzsimmons called Fae 28 in their catalogue
and a close up of the image

I have used Kraft card blank and kraft to mount the layers. Dp is from a pad called fairytale. Flowers are all wild orchid. Image coloured with my pro and flexmarkers. The rest is from my stash in my oddments box.I have glittered the wings because a fairy has to sparkle.
I am hoping you like this as I did enjoy making and colouring it. I so love Morgans fairies. Craft is having a Techique theme - Decoupaging this week

Hi folks yes CRAFT challenge blog would like you to Decoupage this weekwhich makes for lots of 3d images. We have another fab bunch of sponsors

Floppy Latte Designs,    The Stamping Chef,   Sweet n Sassy,   & Redonkadoodles

So before you hop on over to checkout the prizes and the rest of the teams creations let me show you this fab image I received from Redonkadoodles to play with called LION THANK YOU .

I coloured the image 4 times as there are 4 layers with my promarkers. Printed the image with the sentiment and then cut into the 4 images picking out layers. I used 3d glue so that i could adjust the height and it wouldnt be too thick to post in a normal envelope. The Dp is from my stash and must be at least 5 years old but thought the colours went well. used some mesh and gems and some liquid pearls. I have used some gold liquid pearls and dabbed it on the lions body to give a sheen to it. keep the design simple as i wanted the image to be the main focal point with no distractions.
Well if you fancy a little challenge that maybe a little different then how about this. We would love you to join us and look forward to visiting and seeing what you have made.
Thanks for popping by on this cold and wet day here in Manchester. Roll on spring.
