A Strange Day of Mixed Emotions

Gosh today has been so strange. I have been down then up then down. Today is my late baby sisters birthday she would have been 41 no age to die. Was feeling a bit low dont like going to her grave but decided today i would go. Then I looked out the window and my neighbour was moving didnt realise it was today lovely lady but reminded me that my house still wasnt sold. Not long before the mortgage people will be knocking. Still really happy for her as things havent been the best and it will be a new start for her. So quickly made her a card and delivered it. Left feeling much happier. Then got a phone call saying we had a offer from some people and would i accept. Lol. I just said " oh goodies yes please". So i am happy and preying it goes through this time but will be sad as we have been here 25 years come july. So all in all a very strange and eventful day. Just wanted to share with someone hope your day has been a good one. Lots of viewings tomorrow for new properties.
Thanks for reading. xx

Creative Inspirtations Challenge 48 - Say It In Sepia

Now SEpia is the theme this week over at Creative Inspirations now it isnt as bad as it sounds and i looked up the definition for sepia and according to wikipeda Sepia is a dark brown-grey color, named after the rich brown pigment derived from the ink sac of the common cuttlefish Sepia. Well i think tones of reddish brown is what i was thinking of. It isnt as bad as i was thinking once you get started and if you need any hints or inspirations just check out the teams amazing projects they have amazed me.

I have used this image as sepia always makes me think of old pictures and this image reminds me of my gran sadly she left us aged 95 way back in 1982 not a bad innings.Papers are from K&Co and flowers from my stash. Pearls are a mixture of string pearls and half pearls. Lace is recycled. Leaf is a woodware punch. I have distressed the papers and lightly inked with dye based inks. Distress inks on my wish list i think. Image coloured with promarkers and of course image by Mo.

I wanted to make her something which she could use and as i had bought some CD cases a while ago to make up for myself as Stamp holder i thought this might be the perfect thing. I used lots of different card pieces and paper i had left and used my nesties to cut the circles and layered onto the out side. I then placed my image from MO's digital pencil too. com. This was a freebie to all mo's followers. I coulded with my promarkers and just added a small oval nestie with the sentiment. A little bright but then you wont loose your unmounted stamps. Hi just quick update re my brothers cat.
Well she is ok no lasting damage and nails will be ok. She stayed in for 24hours slept most of it and kids where good fairly quiet so she was ok. She has now been back and forwards in the garden not digging so they will have to clear up after her but staying close to the house. SIL is making flyers for the neighbourhood to warn and the RSPCA are looking into it. Their neighbour cat hasn't reappeared so just hope she has found a new home and nothing bad has happened.

Shades of grey

Now isn't he the cutest. This reminds me of my son and nephew both enjoyed pottering round the garden when they where little. Done in shades of grey reminds me of the old black and white pictures. The shades are a little more vivid in the flesh but the flash has taken some of it out.

The image is from Mo's digital pencil just love her work and the challenge this week is Shades of Grey.
The layout is from Crafty Catz and Dianne came up with this i think for the simple monotone of this it has worked well. Papers are from CCSR. Coloured with promarkers. Grey satin ribbon. Flower from stash. Few papermania gems in the corner and a larger grey gem brad for the flower centre.

Tilda's passion for promarkers

This week’s challenge over at Passion for Promarkers has been chosen by Anjie their GDT and she has chosen a lovely colour scheme for us to use - ‘pastel green and blossom’.
I have used some old papermania paper from a pack i bought a few years ago. Tilda is from a kit i got last summer. Pink satin ribbon. I have left the sentiment off till i know what i will use it for.

This also fits the theme of Pink, white na green over at Paper Play.

Pixie cottage thank you

Isn't this stamp lovely got it with another in my recent blog candy win from Tara. Gosh I had been trying to get hold of a few of the goodies in my winning candy, but wasnt having much luck so this was extra sweet.

Well I have made her this card as a thank you, hope she likes it. Layout is this weeks challenge at Creative Inspirations monday challenge which i found a challenge but think it worked in the end. Image is a Pixie Cottage which i coloured with my promarkers and 3d glossed the red heart and the shoes. Doesnt really show but gives a lovely shine. Paper from my stash and the blue is also from the candy. Ribbon blue bows from stash.
