Let's Hear The Music

now this isnt a song title challenge we just want to see either Instruments, singers, musicians or just musical notes. so not so complicated really.

Now my card I made is a pop up card for my nephew who turned 13 last week. He loves his music and used to sing for his school but since going to high school hasnt ventured there but can be heard singing most of the time around the house.

So i have a few picture to share with you

DP is actually some wrapping paper that was in a book. Die is a Joanna sheen

Happy Birthday To Us!

Can you believe it? CRAFT Challenge is already 6 years old. Originally started by Tracy from Just Tracy Crafts and with a DT mostly recruited from Trimcraft forum members (Hence the term CRAFT Challenge, which stood for Crafters Residing Are Friendly Trimmies. Or if you wished alternative meaning of Can't Remember A Flipping Thing) on the 4^th of May 2009.

We have now grown to be a large team of Design Team Members from all around the world, supplemented with lots of Guest Designers who join us for a month at a time.

We have always welcomed all kinds of craft, not just paper craft (unless specifically stated so in the challenge at the time) and are happy to have such a large group of faithful followers.

So, how are we going to celebrate this milestone?

Well, how else can we celebrate than to have our yearly Blogaversary Blog Hop?

Farewell to Lisa

Good evening this week I had to make 2 Sympathy Cards for my neighbours. Sadly after hard battle with Cancer Lisa went to a better place. Her father and mother live across the road from me and they live round the corner. Her husband knows my son well. 

So I spent the morning of her funeral making the cards and thinking what ashame and how cruel life can be. She leaves 2 teenage children and thoughts of my own Mum and sister who bothe left teenagers and younger.

Well not to dwell and depress you all here is my cards. I kept both simple and in similar styles.

This was for her husband and children I think the sentiment says it all on the front

CAS at Crafty Catz with Warm Summer Days

Good morning hope your well and the sun is shining where you are. I am feeling a little strange today. I got less than 3 hours sleep last night. I  have done 2 lines of washing, cleaned up and thought I would post my card for Crafty Catz then walk the dog. Why do I not feel tired. i bet it will hit me about 4pm and i will  be no good to anyone.

Oh well less of my rambling let me tell you about this weeks challenge at Crafty Catz

The challenge host this week is the lovely and talented Janette and she likes to make things easy for us. So her challenge this week is

CLEAN and SIMPLE

I say easy but I do struggle not adding the odd embellishment

For my card i have used a stamp from Lollipop Dreams collection called Warm Summer Days.(wishfull thinking at the minute in the Uk)

I have coloured my stamp with my promarkers. Embossed my base piece of card with Creative Expressions folder. Few Pearls and just a little touch of Ribbon. Oh I told you so I have to add some embellishments
