Let's Celebrate Mother's and Girls at Crafty Sentiments

Hi good morning today at Crafty Sentiments we are celebrating Mother's with Mothers Day this Sunday in the Uk. But no fear if you are not from the Uk or like me dont have a mother living you can make it for a special lady. Now this could be a sister or friend or aunt we would love you to share it with us.

Bling Bling Bling at Crafty Catz and GDT call

Hi a quick post for me tonight. Hope you are enjoying the weekend so far. Did you hop around with us at Crafty Sentiments I just had a another peep and so loved the creations. That said onto why I am here.

Friday brought us another challenge at CRAFTY CATZ and we have extended our GDT for another weeks so go on enter and add GDT and you never know it might be you.

Well it was the lovely Kims turn to pick our theme and she would like to see lots of BLING on your creations. So lets see them sparkle.

So now onto my card which I made for a friend's workmate

The brief  i had for this was that she isnt too girlie and must have bling and the number 40. So this is what I came up with.  Image is from Mo's digital pencil too coloured with my promarkers. DP is Sweet thing just love this pad and was a present from a friend. The number has been glittered with an inch of its life. It was a printed out from my computer and layers of card stuck together then glittered. Gems from stash, Gingham ribbon from Meiflower. Banner is a joanna sheen signature  die. Sentiment has been diecut with my XCut oval die and is a SeeD stamp.

So with all the details deliveredHere is my card/project using the brand new stamp --EASTER EGG HUNT featuring our MOLLY

 I have made a basket for molly as hers is a little small. She has been coloured with Promarkers and the sentiment is also from Crafty Sentiments and you should be able to find it at the shop along with some more fab Easter ones.

I have used a M.S doilies punch and a rabbit punch. Some brads to hold the handles on and some fab patchwork design paper Below is some pictures and measurements of the basic basket

 strips of Dp cut into 2 times 21cms x 5 1/2cm & 2 times 7cm x5 1/2cms these will be matted onto the card as in the below picture

 You can either cut a stripe of card or some ribbon to be attached the the base as a handle then decorate

Under the Sea Picture Inspiration with Craft

Good morning I am here today to share with you my DT card for CRAFT and this was a real challenge for me. Took me out of my comfort zone. We have a Picture Inspiration Challenge.

Pickled Potpourri

So before you pop along to checkout the prizes and the stunning creations by the team let me share my card.

 now for a side view to show the depth and shape

I cut a scallop circle and then cut into the middle so i could make into a cone shape I had previously put it through a ribbler and sprayed it with dylussions blue ink. I punched some fern leaves and glued to the shell. Added some lace to some navy card die punched with a scallop M.S punch and placed onto a card that had been embossed with a fiskers wave plate then chalked. The flowers are from Wild orchid crafts. I used some Cheese cloth to give the effect of a fishing net. The image has been coloured with promarkers and this is the first time i have coloured skin this colour hope you like. I wasnt sure how it would turn out when I started but am fairly pleased with the finish result.

Flower Power at Divas by Design

Good evening sorry for being late with my DT card for Divas By Design. Time has just got away with me and I have had a busy week with hospital appointments and my Son being on Holiday and visitors. So that said I will get on with it.

This week we have a lovely challenge for you just perfect for the ladies so if you need to make a mothers Day card maybe you could enter it into this.

So lets see lots of flowers this could be an image as i have done or it could be embellishments.

So onto my card. This is a card which I was asked to make for a friends BIL as he had just lost his mother. 

I hope this brought him some comfort and I know his wife loved it if you know what I mean. I have heard that she took it into to work to show to her friends which was nice.

I have used a Dig image from Digi Stamp Boutique called Black flowers. You can find it in the shop here. The flourishes on the side are a small stamp i bought from the papermill many years ago. The Butterflies are Memory Box. Sentiment is computer generated. Black gems from Meiflower. Lilac grosgrain ribbon from stash, Lilac card from the papermill and Silver miri card

A simple layout to allow the image and sentiment to take centre stage.

I did go over santas suit with a watered down glitter gelly roll pen sadly goesnt show up on the picture but gives him a slight glow. Used my labels from spellbinders and some fab organisa ribbon from Meiflower crafts. Dp is all from my stash and the sentiment is from K&Co

St Patricks' or Lots of Green

 Good Morning What A Lovely Day We Are Having Here In Manchester. A  Little Cold Start But Nice And Sunny. Well Today Sees A New Challenge At Crafty Sentiments. Today We Are Celebrating St Patrick's Day With A GREEN Challenge. So Anything Goes As Long As Your Card Project Features Mostly Green.

Now Onto My Card I Have Used This Cute Stamp Called Primrose- Garden Flowers

I coloured my image with the usual Promarkers and the DP is Minds Eye. Die cut fence from Crafty Sentiments coloured with distressed ink. Nestie frame for the image and a Spellbinders Lattice die. The butterflies are cut from my new butterfly die and the sentiment is a Crafty Sentiments  mounted on a small scallop nestie.

Well I loved colouring this image and used colours on her I may not have done had it not been for the challenge but do like it. What do you think I would love to know.

Good mornng well they say the weather is getting better but we have a dull dark cold and damp day here. Guess I shouldnt complain we are much better than some areas in the country I do hope it drys out quickly for them. High teens they say end of next week.

So onto my card I used a image from A Day for Daisies called Skirt of Flowers. I used my Promarkers and so loved colouring this. The sky was done with my distressed pads

DP is from a very old purple capsule pad from papermania. Lots of flowers made with various punches and lots of tiny gems for the centres there is also a memory box die hiding behind them. Both lace stripes are from stash and sentiment is from a old whispers stamp cut and rolled then coated with gloss to give a touch of strength. I made this for my step mums birthday yesterday and she loved it and wow that must have taken an age making those flowers.

Well with Mothers day not far away made be you could get a head but i am sure that you could find a female a card. Maybe just a hello thinking of you card for a friend.

So on to my card I have used a Kenny K digital image. I made this for a friends brother who likes a good laugh and will be celebrating his 69th birthday. So inside I wrote to the oldest rocker in town

I coloured my image with promarkers, used star brads and a star die cut in Gold mirri card. 

Some scrim and Black card has been embossed with a clocks folder from Xcut. 

The paper is from stash and a Kraft card blank

Hope you like it is his birthday today and he phoned me to say how much he liked but I had forgotten to add some money to the card. Lol

Craft is going to the Pictures

Good evening wow weekend here again. I have been looking after my poorly nephew he has a tummy bug so they wont let him in school. He keeps going but they have sent him home twice after a couple of hours. Well he isnt ill so have been wanting to do things so we have been paying board games.

So when I saw this image from Doctor Digi House of Stamps called Slam Dunk Duncan  It was easy peesy as i remember watching a film that was not a funny as it should have been. Lol. I have coloured it with my promarkers and used one of my new dies from Joanna Sheen. The ribbon and the Dp has been in my stash forever

Good afternoon I am a little late with my DT card for Crafty Sentiments where is the week going. It will be Easter and warmer weather before we can blink at this rate. Warmer weather I cant wait for.
