Inspirational Picture Challenge - Craft challenge Blog

Well the sun has just appeared after a wet start so guess things are looking up. Talking of wet start this weeks challenge at Craft is a Inspirational Picture challenge and it is this fabulous waterfall.

So I was luck enough to be allowed to play with an image from Sweet Pea Stamps and I picked this fab image from The east wind called  Lucy Loo Mermaid available here

I have coloured this with a mixture of Promarkers and Lyra Rembrandt Pencils. 

Added Gold Graphit Shake Pen to the bubbles. Lots of Mirri card, sequin waste and Cheesecloth. Paper clay leaf and some twine. Ribbon from stash.

I also embossed the teal card with a fiskers wave plate but not sure if you can see.

Well i took the theme of water from the picture and cant wait to see what you took from the picture. checkout the team there is some fab makes and some styles you might not have thought of.

So let me introduce you to the newest member of Strictly Come Dancing

Miss Toots from Polkadoodles

 Well for my card this week I decided that as Strictly Come Dancing is starting on Friday. Toots should enter. So I have used Dancing Queen from the original Twigg & Toots available as a digi image here or you can buy the full download/ cd I have coloured my image with my Lyra Rembandt Polycolor Pencils. I have also used one of the many fab papers from the CD too. The sentiment is from another CD Serenity Fairy Wishes. Ribbon, lace, gems glitter and Vinyl sticker finish my card.

Well thats my card for your inspiration do you think she will make it past the first week.

Shabby Chic at Polkadoodles- When is a toilet roll not a toilet roll

Happy Friday morning are you ready for the show with Nikky from Polkadoodles at Create and Craft she is on with the fab Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils. I have my seat reseved  hoping to get some tips and I believe they will be having a fab set on if you are starting out.
Anyway lets get back to the Shabby Chic and it is Team A's turn at Polkadoodles turn to share their inspiration on the challenge blog today.

Be warned I have a few pictures to share so grab a cuppa and a biscuit.

Well for my Shabby Chic Project which I had to look up the definition for. I have done a little mini album/Tag book.

 I idea is that you write on the tags or add little pictures if you want. I havent used a image but used papers and elements for each of the pages from 2 cds- Rose Budd collection  available here and one of my favorites Twiggy & Toots available Here.

I have added Lace and Ribbons and gems from my stash. 

The Pages Bases have actually been made from Toilet Rolls. I ran these through my big shot to crease and then covered with papers. Cut some tags to slide in.

 I am here to share my DT card for Digi Choosday Challenge Blog.

now this doesnt mean Black & White it just means shades of one colour

That said mine is shades of Grey. (no not 50 shades lol)

 For my Monochromatic card I have gone with the Greys. 

I have used yet again one of the fab Ickyink digi images.

Mrs Ginger Bread- Frosted Winter- Create & Craft Sample

Good morning and Happy Monday.

I dont have a card scheduled to be posted today so thought I would share another of the Octivia Frosted Winter samples i did for Polkadoodles Create &Craft show last week.

This time I am sharing a shape card which I made from one of the embellishments

All the elements can be found on the CD here

I copied th file into word and enlarged then printed onto Craft card. I cut 2 of these and made a hinge for the top with a circle die joining the 2 shapes. I shaded the Kraft card with my Promarkers and used a white pen for the mouth etc. I printed some of the spotted paper from the CD and cut to shape adding some narrow lace. Tied a few tiny bows for the hair and also the dress. Cut one of my sentiment dies to finish. This was mainly made to show that an embellishment can be enlarged and made into a card. There are many of these on the CD that would make fab card templetes.

Well I hope you like and maybe next time I will do a Mr Ginger Bread Man. Not sure if he should be suited or dressed casual. I do think she is in her best dress though.
