So onto my project I am bring you a present I made a friend for her birthday last month.

The box is from a local shop which had some lovely white flowers stamped on but the box was a very vivid blue colour so i used some watered down paint to mute the colour. I have used a Cherrylyn Flourish, flowers from wild orchid and ribbon and lace from stash. The centre of the box has a small photo section which I stamped a heart  with a little sentiment and framed it with a Marrianne Heart. 

I hope you like as much as my friend as i saw a nice picture of her new craft room and spyed my little box.

Here Comes Summer at CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS

Hi i am here with my last GDT post for Creative Inspirations have loved every minute of it and it has brought back some lovely memories of my first design team. Thanks girls for inviting me back for the last 2 months.

This week they are celebrating SUMMER so would like to see lots of summery creations.

We where allowed to play with some images from our sponsor and i used this cutie

Image coloured with promarkers fussy cut out and placed on spellbinder and Marrianne dies. Used my tonic punch for the boarder and added some ribbon. Sentiment is a lilli of the valley on a spellbinder die. DP's are all old basic grey papers from way back. Flowers cut with the marrianne die that came with the frame and some pearls to finish.

Well i hope you like and can come and play along the challenge has been extended till 12th of August while the team takes a little break.

Day 2 Sneak Peep of Crafty Sentiments New Release

Good Morning I am here today with day 2 of the Sneak Peeps for the new release at Crafty Sentiments. All stamps will be released in the shop tomorrow. This has been a secret release so other than this stamp I hadnt seen any of them. I know you will be as keen as myself to see them all. So before you hop over to the blog to check them all out let me share with you mine.

Christmas Seasons July New Stamp Release- Christmas Wreath

Ingredients to make a Christmas Wreath

Christmas Seasons Stamp, Promarkers, Modpodge sparkle, Wide Christmas Ribbon, Chipboard Wreath, String, Co ordinations Card in 2 colours, Glitter Card, Pearls, Spellbinder Layered Poinsettia Die, Marianne Designs Creatables CR1253 &LR024 fern punch

Method

First I coloured my image with my promarkers then gave alight coat of Modge Podge to seal and protect

Take chipboard wreath and wrap string around to give a base. Making a Loop at the top to hang

Die cut the 3 Large Flowers & 2 Flowers assemble and glue together with a pearl centre

Cut plenty of the foliage and glitter punched fern

Layer the foliage and glue down I used pva glue

Tie a double bow and glue with a hot glue gun

Arrange your flowers and add the glitter fern among them

Cut your image out just slightly smaller than the original size of the wreath making sure that your image is centred so it shows in the opening

When the arrangement is set turn over and add plenty of glue to the backside

Place your image down and glue in place. You can add another circle behind the image the size of the wreath to protect and give the centre strength. Wait for the glue to dry and then display your finished project.

Well hope you like and I was really pleased with the result and must say it is something I dont ususally do more a card person but enjoyed doing. I hope that the instructions are clear enough for you to try it really didnt take me very long. Might be doing a few for the teachers this year.

It is a HOT HOT SUMMER at CRAFTY CATZ

Good morning wow the week has past quickly. Are you ready for another challenge, well if so why not come and join us at CRAFTY CATZ this week. Our host is the lovely Anna and she has a great challenge for you.

HOT SUMMER COLOURS/ HOT SUMMER

Before you hop over to check out the rest of the teams creations and the winners from last week. Let me share with you my card featuring the digi stamp SMOKIN HOT from Saturated Canary.

I coloured the image with my promarkers then used my marmalade Distressed Ink around the image. Cut out then matted onto a spellbinder die. The DP is K & CO Hotscotch. Added some Raffia. I made a beach bag and a pin wheel as embellishments with some oddments of paper. A few Gems to  finish off. Hot spicy  colours to reflex the heat of summer. Hopefully now the children break up for the school holidays the weather will be kind to them and their parents

Let's Get Distressing at Creative Inspirations - GDT

Hi folks hope your well I am here today to share with you my Creative Inspirations GDT card. This week we would like to see Distressing on your creations.

I am so sorry I am not visiting anyone yet again the sky engineer has been out and still we have no internet so thankfully I am grabbing a little time at my brothers and using his to post my cards. So onto the challenge at Creative Inspirations

For my card I have used a stamp by Lili of the Valley. Love this little stamp. I haven’t inked her up for a while so a good excuse to get her out. 

I have colour the stamp with my promarkers. My DP is from a old pad which I have had for far too long. I think it maybe either Basic Grey or Dovecraft. I am trying hard to use these pads up. I have distressed. all the layers and then used my distress ink pads on the edges. Embossed a piece of card with a birds & swirls embossing folder then inked over it. A piece of lace and some ribbon along with a few pearls to finish. The sentiment is a Anna Griffin one. I will be giving this to one of the teachers at nephew's school who is retiring. there is actually 3 of them so expect more to be posted at later date.

I have coloured the image with my promarkers, Used lots of glitter, DP from stash, trees are diecut with lots of glitter and the ferns are a punch. Ribbon from Crafty Ribbons image has been cut using populent oval and the base card is cut with a Quickutz frame die

I have coloured my image with my promarkers and have used co ordination card stock for the matting frame and jo anna sheen butterfly die. The Dp is from Dovecraft Princess fairytale and have embellished it with some satin Ribbon and Gems. I have added a touch of glitter to the wings but not sure if it shows.

I have a Tip for you

If you are sticking ribbon to your card with double sided tape. Stick the tape to the ribbon first then cut to length. This will help seal the ends to prevent fraying. A touch of PVA on the ends of ribbon when you have tied your bow will stop fraying too

Stars Stripes Or how about Both

Stars Stripes or how about both is this weeks challenge that started Friday. Hope you like because I picked it as it was Amercian Indepence Day and this weekend there was so much happenning in the Uk with the final of the Tennis omg wasnt that a match and also the Tour de France visiting Yorkshire so lots of stars on our TV and soil.

Now you can pick any theme just as long as it has either Stars or Stripes so this could be male or female.

This weekend was my sisters youngests 11th birthday such a shame she isnt with us anymore to see him grow up but his grandparents are doing a fab job. So my card is for his birthday.

The DP is echo park sweet girl and I have used memory box star circle cut in half and placed around the image. Die cut Jacks name and added some faux stitching. The image is coloured with promarkers and then 3d glossed for that expoxy effect. The silver mirri layer has been embossed with a cuttlebug birthday folder and of course i had to add a little ribbon hidden behind the layers if you look closely.

Hope you like as much as Jack did and he had a fab birthday with lots of family and friends about visiting him. So now it is your turn and this week it get the very hard decision of picking the top three thankfully my teamies do have some input. Also have you seen the fab job our new GDT has done not forgetting our current GDT wow they are both keeping us on our toes so go check them out. For my card I went with the Wedding Theme and used  'Rory Chimney Sweep' by Lacy Sunshine Stamps and sentiment from The Cutting Café

somewhere in i have in my mind that these are lucky like black cats. Well I think she is a cutie. No designer paper just card from the papermill. A cherry Lynn heart die on the side some ribbon and some lucky heather. Of course I had to add some bling some some lovely pearls to finish. The cobbles are my doodle dont look too closely not that keen should have done then lighter colour. Used mostly warm grey tones on promarkers

The DP is from a freebie pad that I got a few years ago and I have coloured the image with my promarkers. I have used some organiza ribbon and pearls from my stash. A few white flowers. The strip across has been punched with a Tonic Punch which i got off Ebay a bargin.

Mid Challenge Reminder for Crafty Catz - Anything Goes

Good evening another fab sunny day here in Manchester I have been sorting some Camoing equipment and washing all the sleeping bags as my son and his girlfriend is off camping in a week hope the weather holds for them.

This is a nappy cake i made for my sons girlfriend to take to a baby shower

You can get lots of tutorials on Utube and they are very easy to make.

All the products came from Tesco and the cake includes a full packet of nappies. Dont you just love those cake bibs. The bottom has a lovely pink fleece blanket holding the bottom layer and some wide white and pink satin ribbon from my stash,

I hope you like as much as the Mum to be did think this was the first she had seen in the flesh

I have gone with a CAS card using some paper from my stash and all Card is from the Papermill.

 

Stamp is a Papermania Clear stamp and the sentiment is a Anna Griffin sentiment set. Of course I have used my Promarkers to colour the image. The boarder is from one of my new Tonic Punches. A think orange satin ribbon to match the card and a few pearls for a touch of bling.

Well hello I am here today a little late as i have had a busy week with my car mot son off work and the children coming to the close of school for the summer. Thankfully my car past its MOT and son is back at work so i can get on with my jobs.
