Mayzy Art does Creative Inspirations Sketch Challenge

Good morning it is hump day so half way to the weekend. Wednesday brings another challenge at CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS and we have a new sponsor for you this week. Today should have been sponsored by Handy Hippo but sadly they where unable to sponsor us for the time being. This left the challenge at very late notice with no sponsor. So with a quick email to such a lovely and generous lady MAYZY GREEN who stepped in to generously offer not just  3 images to our winner but also images for the team.

This weeks challenge is a sketch oh I love Natalie's sketches. You can flip it, resize, but all elements must be on show and we can see the sketch to qualify.

 

Ok now which image did I pick from Mayzy's fab catalogue. This image is called Natsuko and comes from her round the world theme. Oh how I would love to see these in real life and can only dream of it. There gardens are just stunning and I can just imagine her walking to the garden.

I have coloured with my promarkers and used my Cherry Lynn flourish die, my M.S. round the edge punch 2 ribbons from local shop. small flowers from stash. The Dp has glitter on the flowers I am not sure if I managed to catch it on the picture along with the shimmer on the parasol from my glitter jelly roll pen. the paper is from First Edition called Love Letters. I used Distressed inks for the floor.

Crafty Catz goes METAL

Good morning well we have very black clouds so guess we are in for a thunder storm again. Dog is perched on the chair looking out of the window wondering if he is getting a walk. Are you ready for another challenge well it is my turn to pick the theme at CRAFTY CATZ and thought I would go METAL.

Now this could be anything from pins, brads, buttons any embellishment or maybe you could think of something made with metal to decorate. Well it is up to you and we are waiting to take a gander.  Now onto my card for your inspiration. I have used a Mo's image and my embellishments are metal.

 Close up of the image and the metal flip flop and heart.

The image is coloured with promarkers and the ground and sky is done with my distressed inks. Embellishments from stash, wild orchid flower, meiflower ribbon & gems, lace from stash, Dp is first edition and papermanina. Used my fiskers sissors to cut the image and mount out.

Hi me again told you I would be back well this being Thursday means a new challenge at CRAFT and this week we would love to see Feathers or Birds on your projects. Now onto my card for inspiration I must say this was a challenge for me as I tend not to do feathers or birds but found this image on my computer sorry dont know where it is from it is that old.

Used some Seam Binding from abaikan few gems, pearls and my cherry Lynn die oh this cuts so well much better than my memory box have to run those through several times and they are not that intricate ones. Kept it simple and left open thought this could be used for few occassions or just a note card. Dp has a flower and leaves to echo the theme of the watering can and the die cut.

Good morning hope you are all well the heavens have just opened here so more rain. I am still trying to catch up on my jobs so will make this quick. Over at CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS we have a nice easy challenge this week so no excuse not to join us this week. Sketchie Time with Papertake Weekly

Good evening this is my last post as Guest DT at Papertake Weekly gosh that month has gone so quick and I must say they have been brilliant challenge. So thanks girls and Dawn for having me I have loved it.

Well this week is Sketch time and wow what a cracking sketch. I love sketches it is a excellent starting place and always think it takes the hard work out of it. I have used a Penny Black which I have had for a good while and always enjoy making it up.

I coloured this with my promarkers and some distressed ink for the clouds. Used a oval nestie and my fancy scissors for the image. I have used the same Dp for the inside.

For my card for your inspiration I have used this cute image from Wee Stamps called Mountain Fairy. I have coloured her with my Promarkers and added some Distress Inks to the surrounding areas. I have also used some glitter for the wings.

Good morning is it still morning I am running so late feel like the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. What is it they say more hast less speed. Well as this should have been on my blog yesterday as the Challenge for Creative Inspirations starts on Wednesday please for give me. Exciting News- Papertake Weekly Challenge

Good afternoon hope you are still off work and enjoying the long weekend. I watch the concert on TV must say it wasn't half bad love the light effects on the palace. Now those of you that saw my post yesterday saying I was excited to be able to announce some new but not till today well I can now tell you.

Yesterday I got an email from Dawn at Papertake Weekly asking if I would be there Guest DT for June. Seems the email should have gone last Tuesday but for some reason didn't send. Well it took me all of 2 seconds to says yes. She didn't expect me to make a card for this week as it was so late. Not on your nelly I ran up stairs and and made this card straight away.

Now onto my card I used this image from Mo's digital pencil which I won way back called Video Boy.

Keep the colours of Black,grey and white for the papers and embellishments so the image stood out. Image is coloured with my promarkers. Used Dp from gemstones, dovecraft all have been in my stash for far too long. Sentiment is a whimsey stamp. Candy dots and black gems from mia flower. Nestie to frame the image.

I have decorated the inside to match the front.

Oh Have Some News

Hello have I got you wondering well I got an email today and cant wait to tell you but then I would have to kill you and would hate to do that. So no card today from me been busy doing some DT work and if you come back tomorrow I can tell you my news but you can have a lie in because after all it is a BANK HOLIDAY so wont post till after dinner.
The sun has peeped it's little head and run away again and the dark clouds keep coming and going but no rain so far. Hope you are all enjoying the Bank Holiday and those that have had to work hope you have a lovely relaxing evening. What happened to the good old days where Bank Holidays meant no work and time spent with the family.

Image coloured with my promarkers doesn't that chocolate cake look yummy, buttons lace and ribbon from my stash. Kept it all in shades of pink with DP paper from which has a lovely textured feel to it but you will have to trust me on that.

Background Text for Craft Challenge

Good evening well the rain has stopped and the sky is clearing. My garden is feeling the relief from the rain and think it will be growing again. My neighbours kids are all sadden by their rabbit dying as a fox got it and the cheeky think sat on the front lawn waiting for my neighbour to go in so it could finish its meal. My dog keeps going to the fence where the rabbit sits with its nose peeping through they sit nose to nose.

I used the colours Red White & Blue for this card and also made this for my Brother. DP is from my stash and the gems are from QVC in a decoupage kit. The sentiments came with the image and hope you can see the inside sentiment. White satin ribbon is from Mia flower. image coloured again with my promarkers. Touch of 3d gloss on the glasses
